EBS Ecology has undertaken projects in all phases of wind farm developments from the planning and pre-construction phase, through construction to the operation phase. A range of ecological based projects have undertaken including flora and fauna surveys, weed surveys, targeted threatened species surveys (flora and fauna) and assessed the success of rehabilitation programs.
EBS Ecology is very familiar with the latest Aus Wind Guidelines has implemented a number of Level 1 and Level 2 bird and bat surveys at different sites. EBS Ecology is also undertaking detailed bird utilization surveys at several sites as well as bird scavenger trials and bird detectability trials.
The EBS Ecology team is very experienced in assessing the potential impacts of proposed wind farm developments and has assisted a number of wind farm companies in reducing the potential impacts of their projects.
EBSEcology maintains all necessary equipment to undertake field surveys at wind farm sites including 4WD vehicles, range finders, spotting scopes, bat survey equipment (EBS maintains 5 Anabat Detectors, mist nets and harp traps) and communication equipment (including satellite phone and EPIRB).
